Als deutschlandweit erstes Filmfest widmet sich das LITFILMS Literatur Film Festival Münster den vielfältigen filmischen Adaptionen literarischer Texte. LITFILMS fördert und fordert den Diskurs über die Bedingungen und Möglichkeiten von Literatur-Filmen wie Film-Literatur und bietet insbesondere den künstlerisch ambitionierten Formaten eine Plattform.
Ausschreibung Residenzprogramm 2024
Jeweils ein:e Literat:in und ein:e Filmemacher:in sollen für drei Monate zusammenkommen und in einer künstlerischen Kooperation „Perspektivwechsel“ (das Leitmotiv des LITFILMS 2024) auf Literatur und Film vornehmen.
Das Werk muss in der Residenzzeit nicht komplett abgeschlossen werden, soll aber zumindest als Werkschau im größeren Rahmen zum Abschluss des LITFILMS Literatur Film Festivals Münster (20. bis 29. September 2024) vorgestellt und diskutiert werden.
Die Residierenden erhalten künstlerische Freiheit sowie organisatorische und technische Unterstützung seitens des Festivals und der Filmwerkstatt für ihre Arbeit(en). Sie sollen zu einem Großteil der Zeit vor Ort wirken, eine ausschließliche Anwesenheit vor Ort wird allerdings nicht vorausgesetzt.
Neben ihrem eigenen Werk soll ein reger Austausch mit der kuratorischen Planung des Festivals bestehen, so dass eine Verknüpfung zwischen ihrer Arbeit und dem Festivalprogramm entsteht (etwa bei der Auswahl von Orten, Gästen und Werken). Wünschenswert ist, dass Impulse der Residenzler:innen zusätzlich zu der Werkschau ihres eigenen Werkes im Festivalprogramm Platz finden.
Zeitraum:
Drei Monate Präsenzzeit zwischen Mai bis einschließlich September.
Ort:
Zum Teil in Münster, zum Teil im Münsterland.
Vergütung:
1.500 € monatlich plus Unterbringung und Reisekosten sowie Arbeitsplatz und (nach Absprachen) ein Produktionskostenzuschuss.
Eine Altersbegrenzung gibt es nicht.
Die Ausbildung oder das Studium sollte aber abgeschlossen sein.
Tandembewerbungen sind erwünscht, auch Einzelbewerbungen sind möglich.

Call for Residency 2024
As Germany‘s first film festival of its kind, the LITFILMS Literature Film Festival Münster is dedicated to the diverse cinematic adaptations of literary texts. LITFILMS promotes & challenges discourse on the conditions and possibilities of films based on literature as well as film literature and offers a platform especially to artistically ambitious formats.
Call for Residency 2024
We will bring together a writer and a filmmaker for a period of three months to explore a „change of perspective“ (the leitmotif of LITFILMS 2024) of literature and film in an artistic cooperation and let their research and observations create something unique – an artistic work that moves in the in-between space of both art forms.
The work does not have to be completed in its entirety during the residency period, but should at least be presented and discussed as a work in progress in a larger setting at the end of the festival (20 – 29 September 2024).
Residents will receive artistic freedom as well as organizational and technical support from the festival and the Filmwerkstatt Münster for their work(s).
They are expected to mainly work in the area yet full-time presence is not required. In addition to their own work, they are offered to co-curate parts of the festival to establish a link between their work and the festival program.
Period:
Three months, between May to September inclusive.
Location:
One part each in the city of Münster and in the country around Münster.
Remuneration:
1.500 € monthly plus accommodation and travel expenses as well as a
workplace and (by arrangement) a production cost subsidy.
There is no age limit.
However, the training or studies should have been completed.
Tandem applications are welcome, individual applications are also possible.
